This Trio Is Like Thelma and Louise, Plus One! And They Put On a Performance Not Worth Missing
These three seniors are on the run – and if you know what is best for you, you had better watch out! Watch what happens when three seniors looking for new beginnings hatch a plan to escape their nursing home during Breaking Out of Sunset Place. This unforgettable comedy will hit Queensbury Theatre on Saturday, February 9th and promises to be a hoot!
Breaking Out of Sunset Place is a geriatric comedy reminiscent of Thelma and Louise – plus one! Two best friends, Maudie and Emmy, decide to take back their independence by commandeering a car and breaking out of Sunset Place. When Emmy’s dreaded roommate Olivia learns of their plans, they are forced to take her with them or else risk getting caught!
Discover each woman’s own reason for the break out while you root for, laugh and cry with these feisty ladies on their cross-country romp. From Texas to Louisiana and Georgia, follow along as Maudie, Emmy and Olivia head for Florida. Produced by Houston-based Pantheon of Women in association with Roselle Baldwin Productions, there’s something for everyone in this fall-off-your-chair funny and heartfelt story of the ladies of Sunset Place!
Breaking Out of Sunset Place will be performed live at Queensbury Theatre. With the desire to bring a new theatrical experience to Houston and to contribute to the future of the art form, Queensbury Theatre strives to produce, create and cultivate professional, ground-breaking, and affordable musicals and plays on an intimate level.
